EFFECTIVENESS OF STP ON KNOWLEDGE OF PARENTS REGARDING ADVERSE EFFECTS OF TELEVISION IN CHILDREN

Background of the study: Children this generation addicted to evil society called Television and Mobile phone. The excessive viewing TV may leads Childhood obesity, Vision problems, Behavioral Social maladjustments, decreased physical activity in children etc. Report suggested 85% food habits were based on its advertisements. 62% behavioral problems are due adverse effects television. Objectives To evaluate effectiveness STP knowledge parents regarding Adverse children. Methodology:The research approach used study was Evaluative nature design adopted pre experimental single group test -post design. Total 60 selected by using Convenience sampling technique.A structured online questionnaire method assess television Data analyzed descriptive inferential statistics. Results: 37(55%) subjects pre-test had moderate children, whereas post-test all (100%) scored between 23 29 indicating good knowledge. mean score significantly higher than (t =19.51) at 0.05 level significance.
